As an artisan deeply rooted in traditional Chinese crafts, I have always found my muse in the beauty of the earth. But traveling across the world, my heart broke witnessing the scars left on nature—vanishing forests, polluted streams, and the fading silence of the wild. I wanted to do something, not just with my voice, but with my hands.

The Ancient Inspiration

I found my answer in the Shan Hai Jing (The Classic of Mountains and Seas), an ancient Eastern mythos dating back thousands of years. In its pages, the mountains and rivers are protected by divine nature spirits—mystical beings with human faces and the bodies of magical beasts. They are the silent guardians of the earth's energy.

The Birth of bibnono

Blending the ancient Chinese intangible cultural heritage of dough sculpting (Miansu) with my love for botanical aromatherapy, bibnono was born. They are not just art dolls; they are a reimagined species of those ancient nature guardians. With their eyes closed in deep meditation, they carry the pure scents of the earth (like lavender and chamomile) in their soft bodies, offering a silent protest against the chaos of the modern world.
